July 16 - 4:00-5:00
Ludington Library
In the fourth workshop, students will learn about “turn-taking” and how it applies to more than just games! We will discuss the importance of turn-taking in the context of games and then expand this concept to conversations. Students will learn about why taking turns in conversations is an important skill and how to monitor their turn-taking skills (e.g. so they don’t “hog” the conversation). We will also touch on the concept of topic maintenance and/or switching topics in an “expected” manner so as not to confuse our conversation partners.
